A light shining in a world pulled from the brink of darkness, Aldis has stood as the bastion of hope and peace for 300 years, but it has not stood unchallenged. Outside its borders, the Dark Lord of Kern conspires to conquer Aldis once and for all, while the theocrats of Jarzon decry it as a land of witches and demons, poised to one day return the world to Shadow. Meanwhile, the Aldeans themselves struggle to set their own path into the future - and to guide all of Aldea toward a brighter day - while opposing the prejudice and lawlessness which spreads like blight on a rose's petals.
Nowhere is this struggle exemplified more than in the great city of Aldis, where our story begins with a group of young people from across Aldis, drawn together by fate and chance, who have come to the capital city not to seek simple fortune, but to put their mark on the history of Aldea's greatest nation.
